Bulacan State University (BulSU) Bustos Campus nailed a new covered walk and its own Activity Center (AC) to suffice the needs of their academe, June-July.
With a 21M Php budget, the AC’s construction began last summer vacation and was finished last July 31.
“Mas maliit ‘yong AC [Activity Center] namin kaysa sa Main [Campus]. Isang volleyball court at isang basketball court ang p’wedeng gamitin ‘pag Intrams. Hindi na kami maghahanap pa ng other venue at magagamit din ‘yon for other events like college nights,” said Dr. Alberto Valenzuela, Administrator of Bustos Campus.
Moreover, a new covered walk worth 160,000 Php funded by their local Faculty Union was completed last June.
“Okay ‘yong mga nangyayari sa campus. Mas nagiging maayos at mas nag-i-improve at gumaganda ‘yong school namin. Mas komportable kami sa mga nangyayaring pagbabago sa school namin ngayon,” said 3rd year Information Technology student Earvin Domingo.
Other than these, the campus’s Alumni Association Incorporated Bustos Chater (AAI Bustos) targets to construct Bustos Campus’s Heroes’ Park by October this year.
“We have to support the administration para sa improvement at development of our campus. Tulad ng Alumni Organization, ni-revive namin ‘yan kasi potent force s’ya for development namin. Plus the cooperation of our local faculty, students and PTA,” said Valenzuela.
The last academic year marked the completion of other projects in the campus namely the construction of Hangar classrooms funded by Bustos second district representative Pedro Pancho, the remodeling of the campus gate and the construction of gate fences, which are financed by AAI Bustos and the Parents-Teachers Association, respectively.
“Their cooperation has something to do with their progress. Nagkakaro’n sila ng development because of their strong desire na umunlad. Nagtutulung-tulungan sila para rito,” said BulSU President Mariano de Jesus.
