Progress made its way to Bulacan State University (BulSU) Bustos Campus as the university gate that underwent renovation last June was finished and the school canteen is currently in the process of being furnished.
In partnership with BulSU Alumni Association Incorporated - Bustos Chapter (AAI-Bustos) and the Parents -Teacher Association, the said campus is now gleaming with its new and Main Campus-inspired school gate.
“Mababago na rin ‘yong gate, medyo makalawang na kasi ‘yong dati tsaka medyo bulok na,” shared Jay Mateo Filoteo, Bustos Campus’ security personnel.
The said remodeling cost Php141, 000 was funded by AAI-Bustos and PTA and started on the first week of June and is now finished.
“’Yong iba [gastusin] ay sasagutin ng AAI-Bustos tapos ‘yon namang gate na bakal ang sagot ng school,” said Assistant Campus Administrator Leoncia Jane Azunta Nicdao to Pacesetter.
On the other hand, an air-conditioned canteen is about to serve the campus by the end of its construction which started last June 23. After undergoing a bidding process, the construction already began which targets the enhancement and comfort of the said canteen.
Furthermore, Nicdao said occupants were temporarily relocated at the old building for the continuation of their operations until the end of their contracts. Then, a catering business who funded the renovation will handle the school canteen, as stated in the memorandum of agreement between the said caterers and the campus administrators.
“Iyon ‘yong agreement [between us and the catering], na sila ang sasagot sa lahat ng gagastusin at sila rin ang mag-o-operate. Pero, at a certain number of years [lang], mapupunta na sa campus ‘yong rights do’n,” ended Nicdao.
Meanwhile, 2nd year BS IT student Angelica commented, “Maganda [‘yong project] at saka malinis. P’wede kaming mag-stay doon kapag may free time kami.”
