College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CAFA) review facility helped 35 Bulacan State University graduates to pass Architecture Licensure Examination (ALE) leading to 14.92 percent passing rate boost compare last year, June 13-15.
According to CAFA Dean Maria Teresa Gopez, the college provided a facility for all those who want to participate in the review sessions and refreshment seminar before ALE in order to prepare the Architecture graduates in the examination; because of this, the college attained the increase.
"We [CAFA] opened a facility, kung gusto nila [graduates] magpunta at magsama-sama to have their review sessions and group study. Last time, we conducted a refreshment review na one-day seminar. We're planning to have review sessions, January na kasi ‘yong susunod [ALE] kaya by December may mas maayos ng review sessions," assured Gopez.
As a result, CAFA registered 72.92 percent passing rate this year on June’s batch unlike last edition of ALE with only 58 percent; meanwhile, 61 percent was the national passing rate. All in all, the passers were comprised of five re-takers and 30 first timers.
Matthew Parungao, one of the passers already anticipated that their college will get a high passing percentage due to CAFA’s efforts in assisting their review.
"I was expecting our high percentage in passing. I saw their [CAFA] determination during our review. You should no longer think as a student during the review but as an architect. During the review you should already know that you have passed," expressed Matthew Parungao.
CAFA’s initiative also gained positive feedbacks from its students.
“It was a nice gesture [review facility], hindi nila [CAFA] pinabayaan ‘yong mga graduate, in-extend nila ‘yong tulong sa mga estudyante nila until mag-take ng ALE,” stated John Samuel Cortez, Architecture 3B.
Rodrick Paul Mendoza, Jr. of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila top notched ALE with a rating of 85.60 percent; while University of San Carlos in Cebu City and University of Santo Tomas were hailed as top performing schools by Professional Regulations Commission.
